Legal
Plain-language summary of the rules. Before public launch, a human — not an AI — reviews this page, including the newsletter consent copy and the disclosure policy.
Privacy
We collect as little as possible.
- Newsletter: email address only. Stored in a flat file outside the web root, never committed to a code repository. Double opt-in: you confirm via email before receiving anything. Unsubscribe anytime; it works.
- Contact/correction forms: we keep what you send (name, message, and any attestation details) so we can verify and respond. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for marketing.
- Advertising: Enjoy Gulf Coast may use third-party advertising services, including Google AdSense. Those services may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and limit ads. Advertising does not control our editorial conclusions, and paid placements are labeled where applicable.
- No accounts: there are no user accounts in this version of the site. Nothing to leak.
Terms of use
- Content is informational. Verify time-sensitive facts (fees, hours, statuses, event dates) against the linked authoritative sources before you travel — we date every claim so you can judge its freshness.
- We are not liable for decisions made from our content: closed piers, changed hours, weather, or anything else that moves faster than verification.
- Don't scrape or republish our content at scale. Link to it instead — that's what links are for.
Paid and sponsored content disclosure
If money ever changes what you see on this site, you'll know. The policy:
- Any paid placement, sponsorship, or affiliate relationship carries a visible paid/sponsored label at render time — enforced by the system, not left to an editor's memory.
- Payment never purchases editorial conclusions or factual content. A sponsor can't buy a recommendation, a rating, or a verified claim. The editorial/commercial firewall holds regardless of who's paying.
- Affiliate links, if used, are labeled as affiliate links.
Newsletter consent
Signing up means you agree to receive the Enjoy Gulf Coast newsletter at the email you provided. Consent is explicit (an unchecked-by-default checkbox, in plain language) and confirmed (double opt-in). You can withdraw consent anytime via unsubscribe. Until a sending platform exists, signups simply accumulate — no sends, no automation.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the change is dated here. The current version is dated 2026-09-30.
